Generating briefs

What property briefs are, how to pick an audience, and what the recipient sees on the other end.

A property brief is a one-sheet document about your home, tailored to a specific audience. You generate it in seconds; the recipient opens a link and sees a focused, intelligent summary of the things they actually need.

Briefs are the load-bearing surface in Homaic. They're how you talk to the outside world about your home, with the right context, on your terms.

Pick an audience

Five audiences ship at MVP. Each pulls a different cut of your manifest:

How sharing works

Click "Share" on a brief. You get a link. You send the link. The recipient opens it in any browser; no account required. The link is unique to that brief and that recipient — you can revoke it anytime, and you can see when it was last viewed.

What recipients see

A clean, branded one-sheet. Information arranged for their job. Inline photos where they help. A "respond" mechanism on contractor and insurer briefs so the recipient submits their quote or follow-up structurally — straight back into your manifest, no copy-paste.

Updating a brief

A brief is a snapshot. When you edit your manifest, existing briefs don't auto-change — that would surprise recipients. Generate a fresh brief when something material changes; the recipient gets the new link, the old one expires.

When briefs pay off

The 2428 Ames case study from the founder's home: a $7,000 demand from a property buyer collapsed to $75 because Homaic's contractor-audience brief had warranty receipts, install dates, and the original work order all in one place. The brief made the answer instantly retrievable. That's the pattern.
